The international literature festival berlin and the Lepsiushaus Potsdam organize a worldwide reading on April 21st to commemorate the centenary of the Armenian genocide. More than 300 authors from 65 countries have signed the appeal so far, amongst others nobel-prize-winners John M. Coetzee, Elfriede Jelinek, Herta Müller, Orhan Pamuk, and Mario Vargas Llosa, also John Ashbery, Wolf Biermann, Noam Chomsky, Alberto Manguel, Moritz Rinke and Elif Shafak.
The appeal is published in 10 languages.
